Keep track of your business kilometres and expenses, simply and easily with the ORIX FBT Logbook App.

The ORIX FBT Logbook App makes the compilation of your business kilometres travelled easy to gather and record. Using your device, you can track, log and record all your business trips and expenses from the comfort of your car and with just a few simple steps.

Once you have opened the App, simply enter your car details – these will be kept for all future trips and won’t need to be entered again.

Start recording your trip easily with our GPS Tracking Feature. With just one tap the App will begin to calculate your total distance travelled. At the end of the trip enter end odometer reading, journey type and purpose. The App will calculate the start reading for you.

Alternatively you can enter a trip manually by using the Record a Trip feature.

Previous trip details can easily be viewed for editing. A quick trip summary shows the current state of completion of your logbook and the business use percentage so far achieved.

Records of expenses can be collected and catalogued with receipts easily photographed for future reference.

Generating the ATO compliant logbook is done by requesting the report be emailed to you. Once received, confirm the details and sign the statement for your employer. This logbook is then used to determine the final amount of FBT payable for your vehicle and the amount of any salary sacrifice portion (if applicable). The FBT logbook is available only to ORIX customers, please contact us if you would like to discuss a leasing arrangement for your business.

Things to know:

The logbook must be representative of “normal” usage patterns.

Business use should be updated and adjusted following any material change in usage pattern or should the current percentage be no longer considered “normal” or representative.

The detail should be recorded at the end of the journey or as soon as possible afterwards.

GPS Tracking does not keep a record or map of your actual journey but simply determines your kilometres travelled by tracking your relative position.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
